While the riots in Ferguson & Baltimore took place, many criticized one of the world’s most powerful couples Jay Z & Beyoncé for remaining silent throughout the events, but it turns out that was not the case. In a series of now deleted tweets, filmmaker & writer Hampton revealed that Jay & Bey wrote checks for “tens of thousands of dollars” to cover the bail of numerous protestors.
