“I just signed a deal with my motherfucking idol, Jay Z”
Last night during his performance at KMEL Summer Jam in the Bar Area, Lil Wayne decided to make the special announcement that he has signed with Jay Z. Unfortunately, Wayne didn’t specify whether he was referring to a deal with Roc Nation, or simply releasing music through Tidal, which he is now a co-owner of. Last week, Weezy released his fist single from his upcoming Free Weezy Album via Tidal, which means we can probably expect the album to be released exclusively through the music streaming platform. As for Tha Carter V, it appears it may still be in the hands of Cash Money, unless something we don’t know about has happened.
