Yesterday rumors were spreading like wild fire that Jay Z & Roc Nation would be purchasing Tupac’s entire catalog of unreleased music. Although those rumors turned out to be false, it appears we will be getting some new music from the late iconic West Coast rapper soon. Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur, has been working with JAM Inc., the company that handled Michael Jackson’s estate after his passing, to gather his unreleased music & they plan to release this material soon.  According to the owner of JAM Inc, Jeff Jampol, there is more than just “new music” to be released as they have “remixes, original demos, writings, scripts, plans, video treatments [and] poems.”

“Some of [the material] is in bits and pieces, some of it is complete; some of it is good, some of it needs work,” said Tom Whalley, who put together Shakur’s Interscope deal and is working with Jampol on putting out the unreleased material. “But I think the work that is left can be completed, and is worth his fans hearing.” There is also a biography in the plans.

The Grammy Museum is currently displaying a Tupac exhibit titled “All Eyes on Me: The Writing of Tupac Shakur” & and there is a biopic to begin filming this summer on Pac, but along with that it seems like there is much more to come.
